If you have received a gift that was purchase from Handy Hands, you can exchange the item or receive a Handy Hands gift certificate towards a future purchase. Please Contact Us.
If you have received items that you wish to exchange, please contact us as soon as possible.
- Contact Us within 7 days of receipt of order.
- Exchange credit is for the original purchase price of the product and excludes shipping charges.
- Additional shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer.
- Exchange credit can be used towards any product available within the Handy Hands catalog/website.
- Handy Hands Customer Service authorizes exchanges in advance. A return authorization number will be given for the item(s) you wish to return. An exchange will not be accepted without a return authorization number.
- All returned products must be unused, in original packaging, and in the same condition in which it had been received.
Handy Hands reserves the right to refuse the exchange or can charge a minimum 15% restocking fee if these conditions are not met.
How to Exchange Item(s):
1. Contact Us to request a return authorization number.
- We will also need payment for shipping charges and any balance due if the exchange credit does not cover the new order amount. If you aren’t sure what the final total will be, please ask. If you will be paying by credit card, we can obtain the credit card information at this time.
2. Complete the Return/Exchange form enclosed with your order or you can download a copy.
- On the form, please make sure to include your name, shipping address, and phone number.
- Download the Return/Exchange form or on a separate sheet of paper list the item(s) please include the numbers and description for the items you are wanting to purchase.
3. Include additional payment for the shipping charges and any balance due (if applicable).
- You may include a check in the box, record the credit card number on the form, or provide the credit card information over the phone 217.379.3802.
4. Pack your Item(s)
- Place the item(s) you are returning in either the original package or a package of appropriate size. Use packing materials to ensure the item(s) arrive safely and undamaged. Note: if items are received in damaged condition due to poor packaging, a full refund may not be given.
5. Ship Your Item
- All shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend having a tracking number so the returned shipment can be tracked if necessary. Handy Hands is not responsible for lost or damaged packages.

6. Once we receive your returned item(s)
- The returned item(s) will be inspected to ensure they have been unused, in original packaging, and in the same condition in which they had been received. If these conditions are not met, a minimum 15% restocking fee may be applied. Additionally, if items are received in damaged condition due to poor packaging, a full refund may not be given.
- Exchange credit is for the original purchase price and the original shipping fees are nonrefundable.
- We will apply the refund credit towards your exchange order. Any balance due and shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. Please allow 3-5 business days for the exchange to be processed.
